Danbury has plenty of recreational activities for everyone. From outdoor excursions at one of eight parks that offer hiking, biking, fishing, camping, swimming, and boating, to a day of shopping at the Danbury Fair Mall. The mall was constructed in 1986 on the city’s old fair grounds site and is one of the largest malls in New England, housing approximately two hundred shops and restaurants.
